This section answers common questions about ordering, quotes, purchase orders, payment timing, availability, backorders, order changes, and related checkout topics.
How do I add products to my cart?
On the product page, enter the quantity you want and click Add to Cart. The item will be added to your Shopping Cart.
You can continue browsing and adding items until you are ready to check out. To review your cart, click the shopping cart icon at the top of the page.
From there, you can update quantities, remove items, continue shopping, or proceed to checkout.
What should I check before placing an order?
Before placing an order, please review the product description, specifications, compatibility details, and what is included.
Some products may not include accessories or related components such as chargers, probes, sensors, cables, mounting hardware, or consumables unless specifically stated.
Customers are responsible for confirming fit, compatibility, suitability, and intended use before ordering.
Manufacturers may change specifications, packaging, images, or included items without prior notice. If you need confirmation before ordering, please review the manufacturer’s documentation and contact us.
How do I request a quote?
To request a quote for one or more items:
- On the product page, click Add to Quote.
- Add all desired items and quantities to your quote list.
- Enter your shipping information and target delivery date, if applicable.
- Submit your quote request for review.
Please complete all required fields so we can prepare the most accurate pricing, lead time, and shipping options.
For project, bid, government, institutional, or multi-item requests, providing more detail usually results in a faster and more accurate quote.
How long is a quote valid, and how do I order from a quote?
Unless otherwise stated, quotes are typically valid for fourteen (14) days. Pricing, freight, and availability may change after that period.
If you received a Megatop quote or special offer, use the purchasing instructions provided with the quote.
If your quote includes a Buy Now link or button, click it to proceed with checkout.
For certain international, special-order, custom-configured, or advance-payment items, we may issue a Proforma Invoice instead. In those cases, the order can be processed after the Proforma Invoice is reviewed and payment is confirmed.
Do you offer bulk discounts, contractor pricing, or volume quotes?
Yes. Quantity pricing, project quotes, contractor pricing, and volume-based freight options may be available depending on the product and order size.

Does Megatop support business, contractor, and institutional purchasing?
Yes. We assist businesses, contractors, institutions, procurement teams, and public-sector buyers with quotes, volume pricing, sourcing, and account-based purchasing support.

How do purchase orders work, and who qualifies for PO terms?
Purchase orders with approved terms are generally accepted from qualifying government agencies, schools, universities, hospitals, law enforcement, military units, and established business or institutional customers.
If your organization qualifies for purchase order terms, you may submit your order online or send a signed purchase order to us through our contact page.
To place an order using a purchase order:
- Add the item(s) to your Shopping Cart.
- Select the Pay with Purchase Order option during checkout, if available.
- Complete the requested information and submit the order.
Your purchase order should include:
- Shipping and billing address
- Requested shipping method
- Product part numbers and quantities
- Unit price for each item
- Total order amount
If no shipping method is specified, we may use the most economical available shipping option.
We generally do not accept purchase orders for orders under $100. Orders under $100 are typically prepaid.
New customers may be required to prepay their first order unless they are a qualifying public institution, government agency, hospital, university, or approved business customer.
Quoted prices are generally valid for fourteen (14) days unless otherwise stated. Promotional codes and coupons cannot be combined with quoted or volume-discounted pricing.
For restricted military or law enforcement items, additional documentation may be required before the order can be processed.
Qualifying organizations can apply for credit using our credit application.
How do I use my tax exemption or resale certificate?
Tax-exempt customers and resellers must provide a valid resale or tax exemption certificate before the exemption can be applied.
The certificate must be complete and must match the purchaser’s name and billing or shipping address where required.
Please upload your certificate during checkout or send it to us through our contact page with your order information.
Once accepted, the certificate may be kept on file for future eligible purchases until it expires, subject to applicable state rules.
If tax was charged before your exemption was approved, we may issue a refund after your documents are reviewed and accepted, when applicable.
Where do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is collected in states where we are required to do so by law. Estimated tax may appear during checkout and may be adjusted to the final amount when the order is processed.
Tax rules, nexus obligations, and state requirements can change. If no tax is collected at checkout, you may still be responsible for reporting and paying any applicable use tax directly to your state.

How do I check out, and can I ship to a different address?
When you are ready to check out, choose your preferred payment method and complete the required billing, shipping, and contact information.
Depending on the payment method, you may be asked to enter card details, log in to a third-party payment service, use a digital wallet, or complete a purchase order process.
You may ship to an address different from your billing address, but some orders with alternate shipping addresses may require additional verification before shipment.
International customers should also review our International Sales & Shipping information before placing an order.
When will my credit card or payment method be charged?
Payment may be authorized when you place the order and captured when the order ships. However, some orders may be charged earlier, including certain backorders, special-order items, custom products, long lead-time items, freight orders, or other transactions requiring advance payment or supplier commitment.

How do I review and submit an order?
Before submitting your order, review the Order Summary carefully and confirm that your products, quantities, addresses, and payment information are correct.
Once your order is placed, you should receive an Order Confirmation email shortly afterward. If you do not receive it, please check your spam folder or contact us.
After shipment, we will send a shipping confirmation with tracking information when available.
If you notice an error after placing the order, contact us immediately through our contact page or call (888) MEG-ATOP. We will try to help, but changes cannot be guaranteed once processing has started.
Where can I find my order number and confirmation?
Your order number is listed in your Order Confirmation email. If you have an account, you can also log in and review your order history.
If you do not receive an Order Confirmation email after placing the order, please check your spam folder or contact us.
What is the status of my order?
You can check order status by logging in to My Account and reviewing your order history when that feature is available for your account type.
Awaiting Shipment: Your order is being prepared for shipment.
Shipped: Your order has shipped and tracking has been issued.
Partially Shipped: Part of your order has shipped. Remaining items will follow when available.
Backordered: The item is temporarily unavailable and pending replenishment.
Canceled: The order or item has been canceled and will not ship.
Return Processing: Your return request or returned item is being reviewed.
Refund Issued: The returned item has been processed and the refund has been issued.
How do I check order history and tracking?
To view previous orders, log in to My Account and open the Order History section.
- Review recent and past orders
- Check order status
- Access available invoices or related order documents
- Track eligible shipments
If you checked out as a guest or cannot access your order details online, please contact customer service.
Why was my order selected for verification?
To help prevent fraud and protect customers, some orders are subject to verification before shipment.
Verification may include confirming billing information, shipping details, payment information, business details, alternate shipping addresses, or direct contact with the customer.
Orders with matching billing and shipping information may process faster. Orders with different shipping addresses may require additional review time.
In some cases, your bank may need to confirm information, and we may ask to complete a conference call with you and your bank.
If needed, we may also call the billing phone number provided with the order to confirm key details before processing.
If we cannot verify the order within five (5) business days, the order may be canceled.
Are all products in stock at Megatop?
No. Megatop carries a large catalog of products supplied through our own inventory, manufacturer inventory, and third-party supplier networks.
Some products are stocked for faster shipment, while others are factory-direct, special-order, or subject to supplier lead times. Availability can change before or after an order is placed.
If timing is critical, please contact us before ordering so we can help confirm the latest availability.
What are availability, lead time, and ship time?
Availability and lead time vary by product. Some items are stocked, while others ship from manufacturers or suppliers.
For in-stock items with approved payment, orders generally ship within 1 to 3 business days. Products with longer lead times or limited availability may require additional processing time.
If an item is delayed, backordered, or unavailable, we will notify you with the best available estimate. If the delay is unacceptable, cancellation options may be available depending on the product and order status.

What does “not available for immediate shipment” mean?
Products marked as not available for immediate shipment are typically not stocked locally and may ship directly from the manufacturer or supplier.
Availability is usually confirmed after the order is placed, and an estimated ship date will be provided based on supplier stock and lead time.
If there are changes or delays, we will notify you with updated information.
Do you accept backorders?
For some items that are temporarily unavailable but expected back within a reasonable timeframe, we may accept backorders.
If an item is on backorder, we will provide the best estimated shipping date available. If that date changes, we will update you and, when applicable, give you the option to cancel.
Credit or debit cards are generally authorized at order placement and may be captured when the item is ready to ship, depending on the product and order type.
Can I place a rush or expedited order?
Expedited shipping may be available for eligible products, but availability depends on stock status, supplier capability, packaging requirements, order timing, and carrier restrictions.
If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us before ordering so we can review available options.
Can I change, add to, or cancel my order after placing it?
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.
- If the order has not been processed yet, changes may be possible.
- If the order is already in processing, we may try to help, but changes cannot be guaranteed.
- If the order has already shipped, changes are generally no longer possible.
- Adding items to an existing order is usually not possible. A new order will typically need to be placed.
Some orders, including special-order, built-to-order, or non-cancelable items, may not be eligible for cancellation once processing has started. Please review our Return & Cancellation Policy for details.
What should I do if I placed a duplicate order by mistake?
If you believe you placed a duplicate order, review your order history in My Account if available, or contact us right away.
If the duplicate order has not yet been processed, we may be able to cancel it. If it has already shipped, return or cancellation options will depend on the product and order status under our Return & Cancellation Policy.
How do I download software I purchased?
After your order is processed, you should receive an email with download instructions, access details, and any required license or security information. Save the file, then open it from your download location to begin installation.
How long are your website prices good for?
Prices shown on the website are subject to change without notice unless a written quote or other formal pricing commitment states otherwise.
Is there a minimum order requirement?
Yes. Many orders on Megatop are subject to a minimum order requirement. In most cases, the minimum order amount is $100, but some products, brands, or manufacturers may require a higher minimum.
Minimum order requirements may be based on manufacturer rules, broken-case charges, special handling, or supplier policies.
When applicable, the minimum order requirement is typically shown on the product page, at checkout, or during quote review. If you are unsure, please contact us before placing your order.
When is a handling fee charged?
Handling fees do not usually apply. However, certain manufacturers may require minimum order quantities, broken-case charges, small-order fees, special packaging charges, or other supplier-imposed fees. When applicable, these charges are typically shown on the product page, quote, or at checkout.
