Megatop primarily ships within the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. For international customers, we offer export-friendly shipping options depending on the product, destination, manufacturer policies, and applicable regulations.
Where permitted, orders may be shipped directly to the final destination or to a U.S.-based freight forwarder selected by the customer.
If you plan to use a freight forwarder, please contact us and provide the freight forwarder’s company name, contact name, phone number, and email address for coordination.
Some products may not be available for export due to manufacturer restrictions, destination restrictions, or U.S. export control laws. To comply with these requirements, Megatop may request information regarding the end user, end use, and final destination before accepting or shipping an export order.
Payments
- The preferred payment method for international volume orders is wire transfer. All bank charges must be prepaid by the customer, and the order must be paid in full in U.S. dollars. We will issue a Proforma Invoice showing the merchandise total, estimated domestic shipping charges (inland freight), and payment instructions.
- On a case-by-case basis, we may accept Western Union or credit card payments. Credit card transactions may require a valid U.S. billing address. Megatop reserves the right to limit or reject export orders paid by credit card. If you intend to use an international credit card with a secondary U.S. billing address provided by a package forwarding company, please contact us before placing your order.
Shipping & Freight
- If we ship to your freight forwarder’s U.S. address, your charges will include inland freight and insurance from the warehouse to the freight forwarder. Any international forwarding charges, export charges, destination charges, duties, taxes, or other fees charged by the freight forwarder or carrier remain the customer’s responsibility.
- On a case-by-case basis, we may accept the customer’s UPS, FedEx, or DHL account number for inland freight. We do not accept COD (Cash on Delivery). In some cases, we may also arrange pickup from the manufacturer’s location or from Megatop’s warehouse.
- All export orders are shipped F.O.B. Origin unless otherwise stated in writing. Title and risk of loss pass to the customer when the shipment is tendered to the carrier. If the product is lost or damaged in transit, the customer’s recourse is against the carrier. If the customer chooses freight collect, the shipment will be made F.O.B. Origin using a carrier selected by the customer.
- Any inland freight amount shown on a Proforma Invoice is an estimate only. Shipping rates may change due to carrier rate increases, fuel surcharges, extended area charges, seasonal pricing, manufacturer location changes, or other external factors.
- Megatop is not responsible for differences between estimated shipping charges shown on a Proforma Invoice and the actual shipping charges at the time of shipment. If actual charges exceed the estimate, we will contact the customer for approval before shipment. The customer is responsible for any approved additional shipping charges.
Taxes, Duties, and Fees
- For orders shipped to Canada, Mexico, or any other destination outside the United States, Megatop is not responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, regulatory fees, or other destination-related charges. All such charges are the customer’s responsibility.
- International orders may be subject to additional carrier fees, surcharges, and destination service charges, including but not limited to delivery area surcharges, extended area surcharges, oversize fees, and brokerage fees. These charges are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated in writing.
- A Proforma Invoice cannot be issued based only on product specifications. We require the exact manufacturer name, part number, and quantity to confirm the product requested. Megatop will issue a Proforma Invoice after receiving the following information:
- Your company name and address;
- Product names, manufacturer part numbers, and quantities;
- Country of ultimate destination;
- Confirmation of whether additional documents or certificates are required;
- Your freight forwarder’s contact information, if applicable.
- The Proforma Invoice will include an itemized list of products, merchandise total, estimated inland freight, and payment instructions. Insurance and shipping charges will be added unless other arrangements are confirmed in writing.
Standard Terms of Sale
- Megatop’s standard terms of sale are stated on the Proforma Invoice together with payment instructions. Unless otherwise stated in writing, pricing is F.O.B. shipping point, and legal title and product responsibility transfer to the customer when the shipment is tendered to the carrier.
- Megatop is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, export documentation, storage charges, pickup authorization requirements, powers of attorney, or other paperwork required to release or forward the shipment.
Documents
- Copies of the Commercial Invoice and Packing List may be sent by email to the customer or the customer’s freight forwarder when the order is released. Original documents, when provided, may be sent separately from the merchandise.
- Hard copies of documents or certificates are not provided unless specifically requested. Please contact us before shipment if hard copies are required. Any mailing, handling, or preparation charges may be included on the Proforma Invoice.
- Additional documentation, including but not limited to legalization, apostille services, certificates of origin, or other export paperwork, should generally be arranged through the customer’s freight forwarder. A handling charge may apply for special export documentation or packaging.
Confidentiality
- During business between Megatop and the customer, Megatop may disclose confidential or proprietary information. Such information may include product data, inventory information, specifications, manuals, pricing, financial information, business plans, software, technology, trade secrets, and other information disclosed in oral, written, electronic, or other form.
- The customer agrees to treat all such information as confidential and proprietary to Megatop, to use it only for the purposes of transactions permitted under Megatop’s Terms of Sale, and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent.
- Confidential information provided in written, electronic, or other tangible form may not be duplicated except as reasonably necessary for the transaction. Upon request, the customer must return or destroy such confidential information, including copies, within seven (7) days.
Warranties
- Please note that many manufacturers’ warranties may not apply outside the United States, and certain products may not be eligible for export due to manufacturer restrictions or U.S. regulations. Megatop does not guarantee warranty coverage, compatibility, serviceability, or manufacturer support for products used outside the United States. Customers are responsible for all shipping, brokerage, duties, taxes, and related costs associated with returns, exchanges, or warranty claims. For some export orders, we may require written acknowledgment that warranty coverage and service support may be limited or unavailable outside the United States.
Damage Claims
- All products purchased from Megatop are shipped F.O.B. Origin unless otherwise stated in writing. Title and risk of loss pass to the customer when the shipment is delivered to the carrier. If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, the customer must file the claim directly with the carrier. Customers should retain all boxes and packaging materials needed to support the claim.
- Customers must inspect shipments promptly upon receipt. Visible damage should be noted clearly on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before acceptance. Concealed damage or loss must be reported promptly, and original packaging, manuals, and shipping materials must be retained for inspection. Failure to follow carrier claim procedures may result in denial of the claim.

Export Classification Disclaimer
- If the customer exports or re-exports any product, the customer, as exporter of record, is responsible for determining the correct export classification at the time of export. Sales Tax Regulations for Export Orders
- Sales tax treatment for export-related orders depends on the shipping address and applicable state and local tax rules.
- For purposes of sales tax determination, the shipping address is the location to which Megatop delivers the order. If the order is shipped to a U.S. freight forwarder, the freight forwarder’s address is the shipping address for tax purposes.
- If the order is shipped to a U.S. address in a taxable jurisdiction, sales tax may be collected unless a valid exemption applies.
- If the order is shipped to a U.S. address in a jurisdiction that does not impose sales tax, sales tax generally will not be collected.
- If sales tax is collected on an order shipped to a freight forwarder and the goods are later exported, the customer may request a sales tax refund by providing acceptable proof of export. Acceptable proof may include a Bill of Lading or Air Waybill issued by a licensed and certificated carrier. The document must include:
- Seller information, including company name and address;
- Megatop order number;
- Information identifying the purchased items, including brand and part number where available.
- Documents that do not meet the requirements above will not be accepted as proof of export for sales tax refund purposes. A credit will be issued only after the required documents are received and approved.
- If the order is shipped to a residential address in the United States, sales tax generally will not be refunded. In that case, the transaction may be treated as taxable because possession or control of the goods may occur in the United States before export.
- To reduce or avoid unnecessary sales tax charges where legally permitted, customers may consider one of the following:
- Shipping the order directly outside the United States:
- If Megatop arranges the international shipment, no additional proof of export is generally required from the customer;
- If the customer arranges the international shipment, the customer may be required to provide a shipping label, air waybill, bill of lading, or other acceptable export documentation.
- Shipping the order to a qualifying freight forwarder location where a valid exemption or reduced tax treatment applies under state law;
- Shipping the order to a freight forwarder in a taxable state and then requesting a refund after export by submitting acceptable proof of export.
Sales tax may be applied to the order and may not be refundable if:
- The order is shipped to a residential address in the United States;
- The customer does not provide acceptable proof of export; or
- The submitted documents do not satisfy the stated documentation requirements.
Note: If shipping details change after payment but before shipment, Megatop may revise the tax treatment and request payment of any additional sales tax that becomes due.
Florida Export Sales Tax Refund
Florida provides certain export-related sales tax treatment for qualifying freight forwarder locations under applicable state rules. Some freight forwarder zip codes may qualify for a 0% sales tax rate when used exclusively by licensed freight forwarders for export transactions. Customers should confirm applicable tax treatment directly with their freight forwarder.
Important: Sales tax refunds are available only when the merchandise is delivered to or picked up by a licensed freight forwarder. Customer pickup does not qualify for a sales tax refund.
Megatop can issue a tax credit for a qualifying export order once acceptable proof of export is received. To request a refund, please email a copy of the original Bill of Lading and a copy of your original Megatop invoice.
Please send scanned copies to sales@megatop.com. Files must be in PDF or TIF format. We cannot accept phone photos of documents.
To support approval of the refund request, the Bill of Lading should describe the merchandise purchased and show the same consignee name as the sold-to name on the Megatop invoice or otherwise clearly document the export transaction.
Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method where possible. If the original payment method does not support direct refund processing, Megatop may issue the refund by an alternate method in its discretion.
