Overview

The Signal-Tech 38665 is an indoor blank-out LED backlit sign used to request quiet while an interview is in progress. It provides a staff-controlled visual notice for interview rooms and other indoor spaces used for interviews.

The message appears only when illuminated, so the notice can be activated for a session and concealed afterward. A matrix of energy-efficient LEDs backlights the block-style lettering, while a solid-state circuit board and switch-mode power supply are designed to maximize LED life.

Category FAQs

When should I choose a blank-out sign instead of an always-visible notice?

Choose a blank-out sign when the message should appear only while the condition is active, such as during an interview. An always-visible notice may be more appropriate when the wording needs to remain readable continuously.

Does this model automatically detect when an interview begins?

The specified control methods are a switch or external relay. Automatic occupancy detection is not listed as an included feature.

Does the aluminum cabinet make this an outdoor sign?

This model is specified for indoor use. Select a sign with an appropriate outdoor rating if the installation will be exposed to weather.

Does the included wall-mount back also cover a ceiling or projecting installation?

The included Lift'N Shift back is for wall mounting. Ceiling and wall-projection installations use alternative mounting arrangements that should be selected for the intended location.
